Masters
The Institut d'Optique is heavily involved in master's programs at its various training sites. It is thus possible to follow different M2 programs in the 3rd year (in addition to the school's engineering programs, which are also awarded master's degrees, and are: "Advanced Optical Systems Engineering - IASO" and "Signal and Image - SI" in Palaiseau, "Digital Optical Technology" and "Light-Matter Interactions and Modeling" in Bordeaux and "Advanced Imaging and Material Appearance - AIMA" in Saint-Étienne.
Eleven M2 programs are adapted for an "SupOptique Engineer - M2" program in collaboration with partner universities on the sites. For the apprenticeship track, while all 3rd-year engineering programs are accessible, this is not the case for double-degree M2 masters. Only a few are accessible, with specific access conditions (fast alternation rhythm, company missions in line with the themes of the master's).
At Paris-Saclay
For students on the classic degree programme
- M2 Quantum, Light, Materials, and NanoSciences
- M2 Systèmes biologiques et concepts physiques (biological systems and concepts in physics)
- M2 Grands instruments (large instruments)
- M2 Physique des plasmas et de la fusion (physics of plasma and fusion)
- M2 Réseaux Optiques et Systèmes Photoniques (Optical and photonic networks)
- M2 Automatique Traitement du signal et des images (automatic treating of signals and images)
For apprentices
- Voie "Light&Matter" du M2 Quantum, Light, Materials and NanoSciences (Light and matter track from M2 Quantum, light, materials and nanosciences)
- M2 Automatique Traitement du signal et des images (M2 automatic treatment and signaling of images)
IMPORTANT: both of these degree paths are accessible under reserve:
- Compatibility between company missions and Master's thesis topics.
- A modification of the "fast" work-study rhythm (alternating between the company and school during the week in the first semester). Company approval is required, and students must also be based in the Paris region due to the intensive work-study schedule
Please contact the Master's program directors and the apprenticeship program coordinator for more information.
At Bordeaux
Pour les élèves de la filière classique
- M1 and M2 in Physics: Light, Matter and interactions (LMN) Master LMN
- M2 Engineering and Complex Systems (ISC): Engineering Track and systems for image and signals (ISIS) Master ISIS
For apprentices
- A part of classes in the M2 Light, Matter, and iNteractions is accessible for engineering track students in Light Material and Models
- The M2 Systems Engineer for imaging and signals (Master ISIS) is accessible by CFA students on condition of a modification of the rhythm of their apprenticeship (must be accepted by the company), and the compatibility of the project with the theme of their masters.
At Saint-Étienne
With the Université Jean Monnet in Saint-Étienne:
For all students (apprentices, classic, FIE):
- M1 and M2 OIVM « Optique, Image, Vision, Multimédia » (Optics, Images, Vision, Multimedia) – Parcours AIMA « Advanced Imaging Material Appearance » Master AIMA
For students on classic engineering degree programs:
- M1 et M2 Health Engineering at Lyon/ Research Program: Medical Imaging Signal & System (MISS). Students must follow classes at Saint-Étienne Monday to Wednesday and in Lyon on Thursdays and Fridays. Master MISS
For students on the FIE degree track:
- A selection of classes from M1 and M2 Entrepreneurship at IAE « Institut d’Administration des Entreprises » (Institut for the administration of companies) for FIE students in Entrepreneurship Masters (link: Master Entrepreneuriat)
