Admission Pathways to SupOptique
There are different admission pathways to the photonics engineering school, SupOptique:
- By the concours commun Centrale-Supélec (competitive exam series), after finishing a Classes Préparatoires aux Grandes Écoles (preparatory classes for french higher education).
- Through university (voie universitaire) via two distinct procedures.
Seven Reasons To Join SupOptique
For over 100 years, the SupOptique community has been a driving force in photonics, both in France and on the international stage.
- A unique mindset cultivated for over a century: creative, innovative, and pioneering in all areas of photonics optics applications (environment, energy, transportation, health, aeronautics, communications, security, and even art!)
- An exceptional education in systems engineering, combining diverse skills (digital and computer science, electronics, applied mathematics) centered around optics and photonics
- A program with three main pathways: classic SupOptique student, salaried student in an apprenticeship, and engineer-entrepreneur student
- A highly advanced education in physics, combining experimental practice with fundamental concepts (with the option of a joint degree in L3 mathematics or L3 physics)
- A school open to the international community (student exchanges with KTH Stockholm, Imperial College London, EPFL Lausanne, etc.)
- The possibility of combining the program with dual-degree courses at ESPCI Paris or HEC Paris, and the option to join Sciences Po Paris at the end of the program.
- A high employability rate (2019 figures: average job search duration = two weeks, average salary = €38,000 gross excluding bonuses).
