International Aid
The law now provides for a contract suspension for international mobility exceeding 4 weeks. However, numerous aids exist to compensate for the loss of salary during mobility: possible indemnities from the employer, indemnities for international internships, and especially substantial aid in the case of private employers (around €1500).
The IOGS also provides support to finance mobility, offering up to €500/month in case of loss of income following contract suspension. Specific aid of around €1500 is also granted to apprentices employed by public organizations. Apprentices are given a lot of information about these support systems throughout their training.
