[POST-DOC] [LASERS] High repetition rate CEP-stable few-cycle laser sources for high-intensity physics– Thèses et Post-Doc

Description du poste :

The research project consists in developing next generation high-repetition rate laser sources for attosecond physics. These sources are based on high-energy ytterbium-doped fiber femtosecond laser technology, for which the group is recognized at the international level. To make these sources compatible with demanding attosecond physics applications, two major breakthroughs are required:

  • Temporal pulse compression from ~300 fs down to the few-cycle regime, using gas-filled capillaries [1] and / or multipass cells [2].
  • Robust implementation of carrier-envelope phase (CEP) stabilization of the compressed pulse.

The fellow will implement the source and work at the interface between laser scientists involved in the project and physicists of the high harmonic generation (HHG) process [3] from the LIDyL laboratory (Saclay, France). The experiments will be performed in the framework of a joint laboratory between LCF and Amplitude, a world leader company for ultrafast laser systems.

Profil recherché :

The candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree in ultrafast optics and have extensive experimental experience with ultrafast lasers, nonlinear optics, and ideally CEP-stable laser systems. Experience with HHG and / or other strong field phenomena will be greatly appreciated. Applicants must email their detailed CV, including a list of publications and professional references.
