Alain Aspect, Nobel Prize in Physics 2022 !

This 4th of october 2022, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics to Alain Aspect, John F. Clauser et Anton Zeilinger "for experiments with entangled photons, establishing the violation of Bell inequalities and pioneering quantum information science".

Experimental works of Alain Aspect, in the Quantum Gaz team of Institut d'Optique Graduate School, focused on Bell inequalities with entangled photons and, more recently, on ultra-cold quantum gases to study fundamental problems of quantum atom optics, many-body physics and out-of-equilibrium dynamics in correlated quantum systems.
