Institut d’Optique Graduate School is a grande école and a founding member of ParisTech. Its international reputation is built on the quality of the education it offers and the major scientific contributions of its research centre.
Institut d’Optique Graduate School trains engineering physicists and Master’s and PhD students who go on to become some of the most innovative members of business and academia.
Both sciences and technologies, optics and photonics have revolutionised many economic sectors, introduced significant changes in our daily lives, and contributed to the emergence of new fields and advances in many others, such as telecoms, transport, healthcare, biotechnologies, aerospace, and eco-industries.

This January, Institut d'Optique Graduate School will open its Laboratoire Photonique Numérique et Nanosciences (LP2N) in Bordeaux. This new laboratory will be the school's third.

Since September 2003 Institut d'Optique Graduate School has been teaching students at Pôle Optique Rhône-Alpes, a cluster located right in the heart of the town of Saint-Etienne. It offers second and third-year degrees in optical engineering, imaging and colours, and the Master in Optics Image and Vision, a double degree with Université Jean Monnet.
Le site de Bordeaux est en cours de construction depuis l'automne 2011.
